Program Overview
We care about improving the future outcomes of our students and their children.
Strong Tomorrows’ Goal
Our goal is to help expecting and parenting students in the Tulsa community navigate obstacles and achieve success by offering free support and pathways to graduation for a bright future for their young family.
Our 4 Core Components
High School Graduation & College/Career Readiness
Site Coordinators work with students to ensure they are attending classes and are on track to graduate. They also help students navigate homebound services while on leave. Site Coordinators work closely with community partners and school staff to set up aptitude testing, build resumes and schedule college tours.
High-Quality Childcare and Early Education
Site Coordinators work closely with Tulsa Educare, CAP Tulsa, and other quality centers to enroll children of Strong Tomorrows participants. Site Coordinators help guide students through the application process and help facilitate the childcare enrollment process.
Young Parent Engagement
A critical element of the program is the array of workshops offered to students during advisory periods or lunch periods. Strong Tomorrows provides participants with positive parenting experiences and early education opportunities for their children during and outside of school.
Health & Wellness
Strong Tomorrows promotes and helps participants establish a medical home for themselves and their children, while also working to prevent subsequent teen pregnancies. Our Site Coordinators educate participants on the different types of appointments including prenatal/postnatal care, well-child visits, and family planning.
